Just agreed to speak at the 2011 Northwest Chamber Leaders Conference next March in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.  Northwest Chamber Leaders is a group of chamber executives, staff and private-sector leaders from across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.  I’ve been asked to talk about how regions market themselves for economic development in the 21st century and the important role of private sector leaders in support of the work of chambers to attract business investment, talent and tourism in an increasingly competitive global market.  It’s a real honor and an exciting opportunity to be asked to speak to this terrific group, and I’m already looking forward to making the trip.
